Day 66 - Hiking

Long weekend here in US and went hiking yesterday on Mount Talmalpais. Turned out to be a pretty good hike! Lots of interesting variations and nice company. It wasn't exactly a difficult hike (only around 7.2 mile / 12 km) so I'm sure I would be able to do it without much problems before but could still feel the difference over the last two months. Felt pretty energetic and didn't run out of breath as easily like before. (No thanks to jump ropes...)

After the hike broke my diet and we went to get dinner at a Burmese/Asian fusion restaurant (unfortunately my 2nd time in the week as previously there was a going-away lunch for a coworker). The food was delicious though. The one thing that got me was the samosa soup. It used to be one of my favorite dish and while it was still good it was... really salty! First time I really felt that after starting PCP. I guess my salt sensitivity has really gone up without me knowing. For entree tried to go for the healthiest option and went for grilled trout. (Saved most of the rice for later)

Workout: Plank x 90 secs x 4 sets.... WTF???? That's like a 50% increase!

My weekly photo is also up. I feel like I'm kind of hitting a plateau with the last bits of fat refusing to go and my muscles not growing too much. I guess the "easy" part is done and this last month is the last climb to the peak!

Some pictures from the hike:

  2. Great pics! Yep, this last bit is a bear. But we'll get there! I've noticed my salt sensitivity go through the roof, too.
