Day 32 - Swimming

My knees have been hurting so I decided to swap out jumpropes with swimming for a few days, and it was interesting. It's definitely nice to take a break from jumpropes but Patrick was right in that it takes a much longer time to get tired and the results we want. With jumpropes I just get really tired after 15-20 minutes, but I swam for 40 minutes at a consistent pace and was still barely reaching the almost winded state. Probably need to wake up earlier to swim if I want to do this in the weekdays. My knee was thanking me for not pound on it 1300 times though. Let's hope it gets better soon so I can get back to business.

Swimming was an interesting experience for me also because I used to swim in high school. While I wasn't awesome at it (in fact I was quite slow) it did force me to swim every day for 1-2 hours. After high school my fitness level just went downhill and I could barely swim more than 1k without getting really tired. It was nice to see that wasn't the case when I went swimming these few days!

The strength exercises have been going alright. Definitely feeling the burn from doubling down on the exercises. Usually by the second set my muscles are already tired. I guess that's the point. Those chest dips are also quite hard! Again struggling to find a good place to do them on.

  2. Yes it is. I just don't want my hard-earned jumprope skills to go away!
