Day 20 - Gas Giant

So Patrick's last few emails were about changes in our bodies, so just a few notes here. I'm definitely seeing some small changes now. I'm losing a little bit of fat and am gaining some muscles. I can somehow also see  and feel my triceps now which is definitely new for me. Weirdly my weight and body fat ratio remains the same. That said I'm not really sure how accurate the body fat measurements are and I would assume some of the fat has been converted to muscles. I'm definitely not feeling as tired at work too, and have a consistent flow of energy. The 3 snacks a day also helps me from getting really hungry.

Ok, so here's the one thing that I haven't see mentioned by others yet. Here's a question: have any of you been experiencing... increased gas emissions? I feel like I'm dropping A-bombs everywhere at work and keep having to try to find discreet locations to get the deed done to avoid being found out. It's pretty consistent too, and happens every day in the afternoon.

I blame the eggs!

P.S. If a coworker of mine stumbles upon this blog, just want to say: I'm really sorry, but you probably have to endure this for another 10 weeks.

  1. Hmm no, I have the opposite, near zero gas. Might be from one of the things you are eating new. Maybe potatoes or protein or carbs. Switch the meals up and see if one day is better than another. You may be sensitive to something. IF not get some of these;

  2. Weird I don't think I'm eating any food that's really new to my diet. I guess I'm eating a lot more bread, and eggs...

  3. I'm a veritable methane tank man...unstoppable. Today was a bit better but yesterday was on a roll the ENTIRE day. I think eating a lot of broccoli in my case has a lot to do with it. Are you hitting those lentil beans? As Patrick says too, the proverbial massive log in the morning is replaced, in my case, by a series of smaller, mini-explosions after every meal. I'm sure it's healthy and good for the intestines at the end of the day, but does remind you to keep within a close radius of the b-room.
