Day 4 - July 4th aka BBQ time!

So today was July 4th aka the most popular day to barbecue in US. Got done with my workout in the afternoon and then went to a friend's place to have grilled food and watch fireworks. Needless to say... I failed in the half portion ration... Grilled steak, marinated short ribs, portabella mushrooms, too many temptations! I think I did maybe 70% of my normal consumption which is ok I guess, but I would imagine in the coming few months I probably need to cut down on social gatherings like this if I actually want to be able to stick to a diet...

  1. It's cool man, BBQ is one of the least offensive party foods, except for the salt content. But yes, you're right to intuit that social gatherings are a nutritional minefield!

    Don't worry about the first week - we just enjoyed. I think it's more important to eat conciously rather than religiously to the half rule! The diets will become more prescribed from next week onwards.
